The Bible reminds us in   Ephesians 6:12  ,  “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”  This is a battle that is not physical, but spiritual. The manipulative tactics of evil doers are fueled by principalities and powers that seek to bind your destiny and hinder God’s purpose in your life.

However, we are assured that we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us (Romans 8:37). God has equipped us with spiritual armor (Ephesians 6:10-18) to stand firm against the wiles of the enemy.
